Pilates is a great form of exercise as well as a rehabilitation tool. We use mat and equipment based exercises to strengthen and lengthen the muscles in your body to improve posture and coordination. When your body is aligned well, you move most efficiently and can perform to your full potential. Pilates can be used clinically to help reduce pain and improve stability following an injury or having a baby, help you learn about your body, or improve control, flexibility and balance to enhance performance.
New to Pilates at Fusion Physio Ahuriri?
Whatever your fitness level, come and see us for an initial consultation to see if we can help achieve your goals. Our focus is on helping you get the most from Pilates by completing an initial screening to determine your goals and see what options suit you best. Personal (1:1) sessions are the most effective way to help achieve your goals as we can write a program specific to your needs. Classes are a good option to ensure Pilates is a regular activity in your week and challenge the body and brain with a variety of exercises. To get the most from your Pilates experience, our recommendation is to attend at least two personal sessions after your screening before joining a class.
