Jess and Mijin founded Fusion Physio Ahuriri in 2017 with a clear vision: to offer a wide range of treatment options tailored to each client’s individual needs, no matter where they are in their rehabilitation journey. With strong expertise in acute injury management, they also place great emphasis on addressing the bigger picture—supporting clients with long-standing or recurrent injuries to achieve lasting results.

“We believe that movement is medicine and wanted to create a facility that encompasses both rehabilitation as well as general wellbeing. We have worked with a wide range of sports teams from social to representative levels and realise the importance hands on treatment, strapping and exercises in the early stages of rehab to get you back to work or competition. For those who then wish to minimise ongoing injury and maximise their performance this is our passion. We don’t just treat sports injuries we want to see anyone that would like to move more easily and improve their function”.

We have surrounded ourselves with like-minded professionals, building a dedicated team of physiotherapists and Pilates instructors who share a passion for ongoing professional development and a genuine commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for their clients. All of our senior physiotherapists hold postgraduate qualifications, and every Pilates instructor has completed Polestar Pilates training.

With such a wide range of Pilates training available, Polestar stands out for its in-depth education and certification process. Their approach goes beyond simply learning exercises, ensuring instructors develop a deep understanding of movement theory and remain up to date with the latest research.
