Jess and Mijin started Fusion Physio Ahuriri in 2017 with a vision to provide a variety of treatment options to cater client’s needs, regardless of their stage of rehabilitation. Having the necessary skills in acute injury management, they also place high value in looking at the big picture with long standing, or recurrent injuries.

“We believe that movement is medicine and wanted to create a facility that encompasses both rehabilitation as well as general wellbeing. We have worked with a wide range of sports teams from social to representative levels and realise the importance hands on treatment, strapping and exercises in the early stages of rehab to get you back to work or competition. For those who then wish to minimise ongoing injury and maximise their performance this is our passion. We don’t just treat sports injuries we want to see anyone that would like to move more easily and improve their function”.

We have surround ourselves with likeminded people, creating a great team of physiotherapists and Pilates instructors all with a passion for ongoing professional development, and a genuine desire to get the best results for their clients. All our senior staff have post-graduate physiotherapy qualifications and all our Pilates instructors have gone through Polestar Pilates training.

There is a huge rage of Pilates training out there and Polestar provide an in-depth training and certification process which goes beyond just learning the exercises and really ensures that all instructors really understand the theory of exercise movement and keep up to date with changes in research.
