Treatments offered:
Following an injury, we provide clear, expert guidance on whether immobilisation is needed or when it’s best to begin moving again. Manual therapy and acupuncture can be valuable tools to support healing, reduce pain, and restore movement. We also prescribe the most appropriate exercises—whether you’re recovering from an acute injury, surgery, or managing a long-standing condition—to help you return to your work and sporting goals with confidence.
“Use it or lose it.” Our physiotherapists are highly experienced in exercise
prescription and offer one-to-one physiotherapy or Pilates sessions to create personalised exercise programmes, both in the clinic and at home. Physiotherapy and targeted exercise have been proven to help manage chronic conditions such as lower back pain and arthritis, and in some cases may delay or even prevent the need for surgery. Our Pilates classes are also an excellent way to maintain and improve whole-body stability, strength, flexibility, and control.
Whether your goals are sport- or work-focused, we are passionate about helping you achieve them. You may be frustrated by recurring injuries, or feel that something is holding back your performance. Through sport or repetitive movements, the body can develop muscle imbalances that lead to pain or injury. Our biomechanical assessments identify these imbalances and help optimise the way your body moves, supporting injury prevention and improved performance.
Western Medical Acupuncture based on western concepts of anatomy, physiology, and pain modulation.
Dry needling rapid short-term needling to tender trigger points in muscles to improve or restore function.
Acupuncture is provided in conjunction with, and to complement conventional physiotherapy treatment. It involves the insertion of very fine needles into the body at specific points for healing and general well-being. It is drug free and has very few side effects depending on your medical history which will be considered before treatment is undertaken.
We use a combination of mat-based and equipment-based exercises to strengthen and lengthen muscles, improving posture, coordination, and overall movement quality.
When the body is well aligned, it moves more efficiently and performs at its best. Pilates can be used clinically to reduce pain and improve stability following injury or pregnancy, increase body awareness, and enhance control, flexibility, and balance to support everyday movement and athletic performance.
Our fully equipped Pilates studio features mats and small props, as well as a reformer, trapeze table, ladder barrel, Pilates chair, and tower.
We start with a 1:1 assessment for everyone.
From this assessment (screen) we do a minimum of 2 x1:1 sessions to guide you to the best pathway for your needs:
We are currently at capacity for classes and unable to take new clients into classes.
For those wanting to achieve high performance goals, recovering from injury, have a medical condition, pre/post-natal or simply wanting education and exercise advice. 1:1 sessions are all about you and your specific needs, with an experienced instructor and guidance to improve your movement strategies working towards improved mobility and specific functional or sports related goals. You can continue 1:1 if this is your preference or transfer to a suitable class.
The vestibular system is highly sensitive, and when it isn’t functioning properly it can cause a range of symptoms, including dizziness or light-headedness, vertigo (a sensation of movement such as spinning or feeling like you’re on a boat), unsteadiness or reduced balance, nausea, fatigue, and brain fog.
At Fusion, we assess and treat vestibular conditions affecting the peripheral vestibular system (the inner ear), including Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV).
If your symptoms do not clearly fit within these conditions, we can carry out a thorough assessment and recommend the most appropriate referral pathway.
You are welcome to self-refer, or you may be referred by your GP, neurologist, ENT specialist, physiotherapist, or another allied or community health professional.
