Acupuncture is provided in conjunction with, and to complement conventional physiotherapy treatment. It involves the insertion of very fine needles into the body at specific points for healing and general well-being. It is drug free and has very few side effects depending on your medical history which will be considered before treatment is undertaken.

What to expect?

Sterile disposable needles are used at specific points and with Acupuncture will be left in for a period of time and may be stimulated during the treatment.
Sometimes the needles are inserted far away from the site of injury, and you may feel an aching sensation with insertion and or stimulation.
Dry needling is a stronger type of treatment but is shorter duration and you may experience some post-treatment soreness for up to 24 hours.
